Asphalt paving is our other specialty and has been a good fit for Deford Contracting. We are now able to offer general contractors a complete package from start to finish. We believe in relationship contracting to better serve our clients and have developed many repeat customers as a result of our work. The first stage of asphalt paving is subgrade prep and base granular. The crew moves in to grade the base and then spreads, compacts and shapes the gravel to design elevations. Any required cement stabilizing will also be done at this stage. The paving crew then follows to complete the process. A fleet of Caterpillar equipment ranging from 140H Graders, 938 Wheel Loaders, 563 Packers, 246 Skid Steers, 1055 & 650 Pavers, 534 Roller, 434 Roller and a 335 Roller gives us the flexibility to handle any given job, from a trail to a large parking lot.
